For your website

Link your site to your page

Each piece is an ordinary link to your page on discoverybaymarket.com. Use one or several. The seal and the text link work on every website; the story card and the floating button need a site that accepts a small script.

For your shop, your truck and your feeds

Print it, post it

For people who never visit your website: a window sign with a QR code that opens your page, a post for Instagram or Facebook, and a line for your email signature.

Why a link is worth two minutes

Two local websites pointing at each other

  1. Your page points to your websiteIt names your business, what you do and where you work in Discovery Bay, and links straight to your site. Once you publish it, it’s listed for search engines, with those details marked up so they read them correctly.
  2. Search engines and AI assistants read those mentionsGoogle, and AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, learn about local businesses from the websites that mention and link to them. A Discovery Bay website about Discovery Bay is the kind of mention that fits.
  3. Your link back ties the two togetherA link from your site to your page tells your visitors you’re part of Discovery Bay, and connects your page to you. Every visit it sends shows up in your page’s numbers.

No one can promise a ranking, and we don’t. What a page here gives you is another Discovery Bay website saying who you are and where to find you, which is what search engines look for, and a page Discovery Bay homeowners actually see.

Figures are counted live from our own records. A number too small to mean much is left out rather than shown.

How to add it

Step by step, for your website builder

Copy the code from any piece above, then:

WordPress

Edit the page (or open Appearance › Widgets / the Site Editor for your footer), add a Custom HTML block, paste the code, then Update. On an older theme, use the Text tab of the classic editor.

Squarespace

Edit the page, click + where you want it, choose Code, paste, and turn off “Display source code”. If your plan doesn’t offer Code blocks, use the text link: type the words, highlight them, press the link button and paste your page’s address.

Wix

Click Add › Embed Code › Embed HTML, choose Code, paste, and Update. The seal, button and text link work in any Wix box. The floating button needs Settings › Custom Code (on a premium plan) so it can sit on every page.

Shopify

Online Store › Themes › Customize, add a Custom Liquid section (or a Custom HTML block in your footer), paste, and Save.

GoDaddy

In Websites + Marketing, Add Section › HTML, paste the code into the custom code box, and Done.

Webflow

Drag an Embed element where you want it, paste, Save & Close, then publish.

Square Online

Edit the page, Add section › Embed code, paste, and publish.

Anything else

Paste the code where your site takes HTML. If it doesn’t, use the text link or download the seal as a picture, add it to your site, and link it to your page’s address. Or press Send to my web person on any piece.

Please keep the link as it comes: it goes to your page, and your page links back to you. Stuck? Tim McMullen will help: [email protected].

Put the Discovery Bay market on your site

A live card with Discovery Bay’s homes for sale, this month’s and this year’s sales, and the median single-family and condo prices, plus a box where your readers can ask about the market and get an answer from the MLS record. It updates itself. One paste, no account, no cost.

  1. Copy the codeEverything below, as it is.
  2. Paste it where you want the cardWordPress: a Custom HTML block. Squarespace: a Code block. Wix: Embed code. Any site that takes HTML works.
  3. That’s itThe numbers refresh every day from the MLS. Nothing to update, ever.
<div class="cm-market-widget" data-market="discoverybaymarket.com"> <a href="https://discoverybaymarket.com/">The Discovery Bay Market</a> </div> <script async src="https://discoverybaymarket.com/embed/widget.js"></script>

The link inside the code credits the data source and keeps the card readable for anyone with JavaScript off. Please leave it in. Every median shows the sales behind it; under 8 sales, no median. The assistant gives recorded facts, never what a home is worth.

The agent behind The Discovery Bay Market

The Discovery Bay Market is run by one licensed agent, not a portal. Tim publishes the record, answers the questions and takes the calls.
